Fr we dont actually see much to realise she's being mistreated. It's all just mentioned in the dialogue.
When she says her room wasnt the orignal baroness's room, I just think "I didn't even notice cause they didn't mention it or even show the room till now". We're supposed to think of she's so cool to figure it out via just being in the library but I didn't even know that was not the room!?
Also could anyone please explain why she specifically had to change her style for the evil step mother. I feel like I missed out the part where she gave her reason for changing up her style? Is she doing it just to lean into the evil stepmother rumours?
this is the biggest reason why the manhwa is falling short. they skip so much development. imo, i think it was a situation where she felt humiliated b/c husband wasn’t gonna treat her like a wife PLUS he’s in love with his step daughter and it seems like the daughter is set on making it seem like mc is evil so that’s why she decided to just be “evil” but they don’t show any of that and just skip to the horrible makeover and we’re just like ???
the promo art was stunning so the serialization felt a little underwhelming. plot moves so fast it doesn’t feel fulfilling. also “light make up suits you best” i was expecting her to look like a evil stepmother since they were hinting she was going to be dramatic. tell me why she enters the dining hall with the SOFTEST glam ever. don’t piss me off
