SERIOUSLY, like he made a major mistake WHEN HE WAS A CHILD and is living with guilt bc of it. so much so, that he even pulled himself away bc of said guilt so that he wouldn’t cause anymore damage to both him AND han-gyul. i could literally go on a whole rant abt his character, it’s so well written that you just can’t hate or love him as a person unless you misinterpret or misunderstand the story
