He's a spoiled bastard with a bad attitude but he doesn't deserve to die. He was manipulated by a spirit at a clearly very young age, and the wish he made wasn't even inherently malicious. It's just unfortunate that it resulted in what it did. Plus the guilt, holy shit. I don't know if I'd even be able to survive it. No wonder the dude isn't in touch with his emotions, he's probably stuffed them all in a bag and tied it up for his own mental wellbeing.
