UGH it pisses me off how you’re right.
i just HATE yoongun for a seemingly unexplained reason.
I totally agree and love them both! I think ppl just hate on Yoongun bc they self-insert and want a ML that's just immediately head over heels, throwing themselves at the MC. The ML here has some emotional boundaries and he communicates them very well, while still doing his best to be considerate of Kyuho.
He is mature and knows better than to hurt Kyuho by accepting his confession when he doesn't really know how he feels. He knows he cares too much for Kyuho to date him and break his heart if things go south.
"You shouldn't put someone who can be replaced in a position that can't be replaced" is a great way to put it. Sexual partners come and go to Yoongun, he never dated seriously because he never fell in love so he only had sexual partners his whole life. His sexual partners were always replaceable, even Kyuho as one, but not Kyuho being in his life. Kyuho became someone Yoongun wants and can't replace in his life so dating him is kinda scary for him so he wants to keep him even if it's as a friend. Jealousy will come soon enough and Yoongun will have to choose to risk their friendship to start dating, but so far his thoughts are very mature and logical. Too bad love is not logical
