Ok so I re-read some chapters, they don't really talk about the mom's death so I am just guessing that she died to an sickness (cause if it was a murder or anything else they would have said something about it). And ya she was a bitch to her, she legit said to her daughters face after accusing her of theft (the original MC and mc met when they were kids and she gave her an Apple) that why did she ever gave birth to such a mistake (chapter 59) soo I'm assuming it was pretty fucking bad...
