Not defending him.. but to put it simply, he knows Kihoon like him. So in his mind, he is prying an answer from him on why he is rejecting him when it's so obvious they like each other. In the end he accept that physical reaction for a rejection
REGARDLESS of what happened with the string,, whether it was bc sunbae feel bad or smth, IF YOU CONFESSED TO SOMEONE, why are you forcing physical actions on them??? like what ml did??? like I'm so fucking confused. regardless if you're accepted or rejected, or whatever your past physical relationship was with this person, that's just insane+??? like they haven't replied to your confession yet and you're actively coming onto them with kissing and shit? IS THAT NOT WEIRD AM I SENSITIVE??? and without waiting /comforting them who's crying (ml at this point doesn't even know why sunbae is crying man, it could be bc the kiss was forced, it could be bc of the confession, HE DOESN'T KNOW) but he just up and left like that???
