Someone the other week spoiled that Ash gonna gaslight Lyle and be the victim. They not wrong per se.
But I feel like Ash was also missing a lot of info? For 1, he only witnessed when that one friend brought up Hazel, not when the other two were gossiping and Lyle heard about the marriage and bond stuff. 2, Lyle continued to invoke his right to remain silent, giving Ash almost nothing to latch onto and explain himself. What is he supposed to apologize for if Lyle isn't telling him what he did wrong? 3, the fact Ash was ambushed at work by Hazel but came directly to Lyle after smelling him, and finally caught on this was probably the reason Lyle was being weird. He properly introduced them and explained their relationship means nothing now.
This is where my sympathy for Lyle ends tho because beyond this point, he shouldn't have made Lyle apologize so much given he too didn't even give much for Lyle to work on, and all this ended up being exposed last minute. Like him who didn't have info from Lyle to properly apologize earlier, Lyle who also didn't have all the info shouldn't have to be the only on apologizing either. They were both missing information at some point and finally got it cleaned. But Ash was the only one who sorta benefited.
I felt like Ash just slightly gaslit Lyle. I was hoping and waiting for Ash to take accountability about the attitude of his friends, and their attitude towards Lyle but I don't see any resolution to that. Also, I think Ash shouldn't have met up with Hazel again in the first place, also its a big mistake that
