I've been desperately searching for a story like this (assuming the romance tag IS genuine) but with a female protagonist. I mean there are some I've found, but most are as a side gig, or they invent one or two things to help a business the world already has (stuff to make more modern coffee, better tea making knowledge and accessories, knowledge about better face cream ingredients, etc.) instead of fully inventing stuff no one had yet to even dream of, or like, coming up with many new items to sell (and not just make a few to help with their coffee or whatever business).
I also don't get why so many people don't want romance lately. I personally think a well rounded story to do with every day life should have some romance, unless the character is pointedly ace. Otherwise, in my opinion, it feels like it's missing. Don't get me wrong, no shad or anything, I just don't understand why a little bit of romance is such a big deal. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
