I was thinking the same thing. Hear me out what if he's the cat we see that's walking towards him at the hospital scene. That would explain why he looks like that but also why his IQ is low. Just a theory
What hospital scene?
When he talks about his family always being sick. I thought he was sitting outside of a hospital. You see a black cat walking. Sorry I thought that was a hospital
The top being a cat would be a shocking (but welcome) twist LOLOLOLL
So rereading on everything,
• Chapter 3, there was a focus in the eyes with the zombie and the top's eyes. Idk if I'm just overthinking but I don't think the author/artist would focus on the eyes if there wasn't any connection.
• Chap 4, where top took a quiz/test and his IQ was tested to be low. Despite it being elementary leveled.
• For the remaining chapters, we can see the top being uhm in a way "childish".
• Now on the latest chap. 9, top has no memories. Hence, maybe he's some sort of experimented being?
