So basically he and Pado are childhood friends, him and Hae-il were in love and have kissed, idk if they did more than that, but a rumor got spread that Hae-il was gay so he freaked out and pushed Pado away. The reason Hae-il keeps coming back is because it’s like his “destiny” to makeup with Pado. Also it hasn’t been said directly but I think the woman who saved Hae-il was pado’s mother because she died trying to protect them both in the waves when they were kids. All that to say Pado is just sensitive :(( and he’s cold bcos Hae-il pushed him away first in childhood :(
