this started good but i'm sick of authors setting up an FL as a strong female lead and then repeatedly placing her into "damsel in distress" situations. I'd like a strong FL who falls in love with an ML with personality, without having to be saved to get romantic moments. also having the "devastated and worried for Doug" going on at the same time as "omg excited for our date doki doki" just feels awkwardly forced
