The MC and his constant assumptions are super annoying. He's assuming this, he's assuming that and you would think by chapter 9 he would learn after being corrected multiple times. I think because it's always a negative assumption rather than positive assumptions that it's even more annoying.
I hope that this isn't a consistent issue in chapters going forward.
