Why do you want him to feel that same pain/shame in his own home?
It's weird how folx are calling down trauma and pain on this character for the purpose of "building strength".
This guys is never gonna grow up tho... Some hardships in life are meant to be... It makes u stronger, not everybody is gonna be accepting like that and the boy needs to know.
