i think now its safe to assume that by him returning back to 2020 for 5 years they get to spend more time together, ultimately touch and thus once he as to return to his time line again, she forgets the past few years of her life because they were always together
imagine she lost her memory because she can't handle him leaving her and the fact that she probably was 77 and him being somewhere 20s or 30s in the future bro even I would be heartbroken. I don't see how we can achieve the best ending for this one
