Its always their argument when you, for lack of better term, reprimand them, "fictional", "its not real", "separate reality and fiction", "this doesn't reflect our irl moral/ etc." like be so fucking fr, why would u be okay with reading and abuse in a story? yup and i understand the "it's just a fiction" argument to some extend BUT when fiction triggers one's trauma or causes them to feel heavy difficult to process emotions it's no longer a matter of "oh, it's just a fiction" like i'm sorry that i wanted to read what seemed to be a good story and got jumpscared by a brutal rape scene that doesn't change anything in the story and is used as a plot filler in chapter 50-something so now i wanna share my disgust and disappointment about it here
