Zhongnan sect (or sometimes called the Southern Edge sect) has too much history to be completely eradicated. There are one of the prominent sects, usually one of the Great Nine Sects in murim world. They're especially portrayed as Mount Hua's closest rival, what's with being in the same area and all.
Though, of course, corruption can happen anywhere. If the sect gone bad, they'll die out sooner or later.
They should just eradicate that whole sect. Ugh talk about rushing it under the rug. I hope they get more coming to them than just some fines.
