Cause he's smart, has experience with the future and knows its a bad idea to just off their heads, they need people in the future to defend against the murim alliance, that's what was literally written, read.
Also, yeah finally a story thats strategic, one written with care where they don't just right like zombies, that's much better entertainment wise, it isn't repetitive either and the fights are super Good too, why are there like 5 people saying that something intellectual, reasonable and smart is uninteresting when it is so stimulating, finally actually, the others always just fight like they have no logic, but also, you're wrong cause most good murims have strategy, like nano machine..etc

there is no issue about the MC being smart and all the issue is how the author portray the Heavenly Demon Cult. If you read enough murim manhwa or manhua you will have a clue what the essence of Heavenly Demon Cult. They are smart cunning strong and merciless. They are the perfect villains in most of the murim stories .. they focus not only in brain but strength and being merciless.. but in this manhwa it was all tone down.. not to compare but if you read " Chronicles of the Demon Faction " where the MC is smart not only that he is also cunning strong and merciless same goes to nano machine.. hope this explanation reach you if not then theres nothing I can do . we have all different opinion .. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I agree. It was really boring and mild for me. I don't think it's the worst, but it's just not up to par. Very heavy too on the way the author portrayed the Heavenly Demon Cult. It doesn't really feel like it. I think huge contribution to that is the Cult Leader was actually a bit generous here, always rewarding his sons, communicating with them, even dining with them. It's not rly what we usually see on manhwas that uses Demon Cult as a base for the story. The Cult Leader are usually more less involved lol. I didn't read this one fully, just skimmed it, skipped some chapters. It's just not to my taste. Also, I feel like the author/artist were cutting a bit corners. I feel like they could def do more but chose not to, or perhaps couldn't. I know how tough their job is and the schedule, so.
In my opinion this manhwa is a mild one if you will compare it to other murim manhwa. The plot is quite good but its more focus on political side. I kind of understand why the enemy called "fake" our MC cult because they really..more of unorthodox sect than a Demon or Heavenly Demon Cult. If you will compare it to other manhwa who focus on the "Demon Cult or Heavenly Demon Cult" they do focus on strength and power and also being merciless like a certain cult leader who collect right arm or that one who have a Daddy Demon Lord and a fox beast who being chaos
. but our MC cult is meh .. yep.. meh... but it still good .. it just the brutality and merciless are tone down .. I mean if the other Demon successor defeat the Ice Queen I bet her head must be rolling some where or shes missing an arm or worst having constipation ..(￣∇￣")
