Hey there! I’m not an artist so I appreciate your insight but for me, and I guess for a lot of people since as you’ve said that aside from another person, no one was pointing it out, I read this story for the plot so as long as the art doesn’t feel like those icky AI generated art we don’t even notice that so it’s not bothersome.
I’m curious though, about the things like the nails, the lighting, line work, and all the things that are oddly detailed, how can you distinguish it being AI or just it being amateur mistakes?
Also, is the background the thing you’re referring to as something far too detailed to make sense? Because I’ve seen a lot of manhwas with similar thing.
i almost completely disagree with you. all of the details you point out in your comment dont really back up the claim that this is enhanced by AI, despite those details being true. also youre making assumptions based on actual mistakes amateur artists make, such as art inconsistencies. color and anatomy inconsistencies are very very common in webtoon art since , well, it isnt ONE illustration but MANY, ofc theyre not carbon copies of each drawing of each character.
also what looks "off" or "too detailed"? im not sure cuz you didnt specify, its a very vague claim that doesnt seem to relate to anything else in ur comment
I know you're worried about artist using AI art but I don't see any in this manhwa. Yes, some of the details might be inconsistent that you might think it's weird, but often times artist make this kind of mistake considering they are making a manhwa, and also this could be their art style since it often change as you draw more. Well we kinda understand that your worried about AI art and we don't really blame you since the rise of people using AI kinda ruins about our perception of drawings
I wish i could describe what it is i mean but i would only be able to do so visually, if you dont agree thats fine, ill try to describe more what i mean some point soon or just leave it at this
as an artist, i agree after closer inspection. of course amateurs can mess up sometimes, but this is evidently an experienced artist, and the inconsistencies/mistakes here are not that of an amateur or a veteran chasing deadlines. these can be tough for the untrained eye to spot, but the best way i can lay it out is: an experienced artist should not be making these types of mistakes. i'll still read since i'm technically not supporting the artist in any way, but some transparency would've been nice.

I think that one comment is right, i think they might be using ai to enhance their drawings. As an artist im noticing a lot of inconstancies (for example how the inside of the ear is drawn each time, obvious lighting placement in the wrong place, colour inconsistencies with things like shading inside of the mouth or repeated drawings for different panels just slightly different each time but u can tell its the same base drawing like in the first chapter)
Things that just look off or far too detailed to make sense to put that much effort into when making a webtoon as the average person isnt going to take in all the tiny details as the read by it. Plus on the hands, fingernails being drawn completely two different ways on either hand and the hands looking like slightly different styles. Alongside anatomy inconsistencies

No hate if people like this and wanna keep reading it, i just thought id point it out and i didnt see anyone else mention anything besides that one comment. I personally cant get into it because of the ai and how off it feels. if anyone has a different opinion on whether it is or not tho I am all ears.
