MC is a self-centered, rational, high achiever who doesn't like being dragged down or bothered in their way to success. Taesan constantly reaching out to MC to thanks and praise him for helping him (Yes MC did help him, not just once) which makes MC very uncomfortable n find him as a bother. MC feels the need to help Taesan because he feels bad n think Taesan is pitiful, therefore in his mind, his help is not genuine at all so Taesan doesn't need to thanks, praise or even like him cz if MC was in his shoes, MC would hate himself (CZ IT'S A RATIONAL THING TO DO)
