You can't marry a sibling because that would be creepy and gross

Objectively speaking. It's gross and creepy from our perspective as humans the same as Ellen's cuz she was reborn and held the same values as she did when she was human. But these are basically "gods" so they don't really have the same perspective on it like we humans do? Like have you seen the mess of relationships that is Greek Mythology or just mythologies in general. Egyptian too. I won't claim to be super educated on that part but getting into relationships with your siblings seems like a thing in mythologies. Not saying this to justify marrying your sibling though. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE MARRY A SIBLING or blood related relative at any rate that is a whole bag of gross not to mention heath issues resulting from said union. Anyway sorry for ranting in your comment section ( ̄∇ ̄")

Have you ever questioned to whom Cain and Abel got married, or Noa's grandchildren?
Gods and mythologic persons had to intermarry, because there was no alternative.

true if you go by Christian Theology then Adam and Eve were the first humans - they had kids - who then had kids together... etc etc

of course using bible times info - the genetic makeup of humans back in the time of Adam and Eve was a lot purer than human genetic makeup of today. you could marry siblings without worrying about birth defects or other health issues cause those are all the result of centuries - heck millenia - of intermarry.

you may have been able to splice genes without issues back when it was just a few dozen or so generations of intermarry but after a while the genes overlapped too much or something (dunno not a scientist here) and now blood relatives cannot intermarry without high risk of defects and issues.

Even nowadays, occasional intermarriage is not really an issue genetically, if you stop after one generation.
But evolution made sure we don't do that frequently, by letting us feel grossed out by the thought of marrying a sibling.
