The mentioning of the ex-wife and her having a kid waaay back was confusing and very suggestive out of the blue topic isn't it?

I was a bit confused too.. but i think miyauchi meant that destiny is cruel in the sense that he was born as a beta who can't really have a true mate and thus is unable to become Aoi's destined lover but at the same time beautiful because his circumstances eventually led him to meet Kudo and find happiness with him <3
(But yeah, Miyauchi IS indeed Jirou's half brother)

People, learn to read between lines.
Jirou saying that Miyauchi is like a big brother to him, and then the next scene is Jirou's father mentioning.the son of his ex-wife, and saying that wanted to take the son of his ex-wife from SAIONJI (Aoi's family, which Miyauchi work for).

Miyauchi is Jirou's older brother. They share the same mother. The mother abandoned his other mother because she needed to marry Jirou's father.

My interpretation is that Jirou's father mentioned destiny because of his OWN story. The story of his ex-wife, and ex-wife child, and everything connected manifesting in the next generation, their struggle and connection - everything is destiny.
