In his defense in novel he did in fact ask for a break up before meeting ogFL, it said he asked for it in the carriage that time. But I agree he is pretty self centered but I'm waiting for a reveal some spoilers said there is a misunderstanding? Not sure.
But if he really is like the first version of the novel then he's kinda less attractive as ML
ML is actually insufferable, unlikable and ugly inside out, I can't believe he just said that they will break it off only if HE fell for someone else but it will not happen because he find her interesting, not even like her, love her nah, he just find her interesting, just how low is bar? How worse is he gonna get?
