idk how to feel

on one hand, its a unique premise and interesting mc. but on the other the ML is just fucking insane and at times borderline insufferable.

i certainly wasn’t rooting for the other dude, but i felt like she forgave the duke far too quickly. and to equate the dukes insane obsession with love just

i would’ve much preferred a more balanced redemption arc, rather than just going “oh! he almost died so he’s okay now - trust”. it didn’t feel nearly repentant enough or like he had truly changed lol.

anyway, still worth a read, but i wouldn’t rly recommend this. the story just kinda reads as a halfway house between romance and thriller and just not for me
