He tried to isolate her, to be left alone so she can feel miserable and to want the attention of others.
He tries to be the ONE to Save her from that misery but at first he has to really make her miserable to Play the role of hero

And i think it‘s Kind of his complexe cause he saw that he isn‘t really needed for her happiness cause she could do things without him, she was maybe Independent to beginn with
I seriously can’t understand if he is obsessed with her because he wants her or if he truly is trying to kill her. I’m not understanding how it’s a ‘if I can’t have her no one can have her’ type situation when he had her to begin with and basically set up her downfall. Confusing AF
