i forgot to add, some things are just too obvious my friend. once you see hint that's this is another one of those "keep his distance because he wants to protect her" you know who's good guy and bad guy. it's only confusing because MC is too much of a naive person and author forced readers to believe in MC's POV too much but I feel only gullible people really fell for this trick.
okay girls, if you read many shoujo manga or know many shoujo tropes, this one doesn't even trying to hide them good.
if I am the villain I will just straight up kidnap MC instead of paying this mind game when even the MC is naive and gullible tbh it'll just lost the point of wanting to be a serious story.
okay i am probably too harsh since idk exactly their circumstances but since their circumstances are mostly based on the world building i think, then it is author's deliberate choice to trip/trap their own characters to make those actions, yeah it's one of those story that i feel everyone only moving according to the plot and the plot is dead
I was going to air my frustrations about how I wouldn't read the rest and would only jump to the ending when it came out but then I found spoiler
it's just bad, it ain't it
the art is great and the plot concept and world building are somewhat fresh at least but the plot and characters are just bad. it's trying to be a mystery which okay congrats it is very confusing but also frustrating and the mix with slice of life just down bad. and tbh the villain is predictable, the lie and the scheme feel too cheap/juvenile for a villain even if people fell for it. yeah. it's like what's the point of all that thing. the motivation is just too unbelievable petty and something only a villain in shoujo fantasy world will have.
okay, here now we have another damsel in distress, she was redeemed a bit because she did actively tried to make her situation better but the plot, the author just tripping her. the story was so gloriously frustrating it's like she was still being locked in that damn room with no way out. if i were her i would roll my eyes and kill my self again hoping my next reincarnation will ont happen after everyone who are after me died, yeah sayonara for good. it's always good to have the the will of life though, so i will respect that about MC.
and meanwhile the situation was dire she still had the time to run around the town and having a date with two men who obviously would never have a chance with her (the ML is obviously the third prince). it's usually not that bad but when the situation was that dire, how can i enjoy their date and the slice of life part of the story. it feel like a mesh of two things that doesn't mix well together. here another eye roll. why these shoujo/josei never can't make up their mind when it come to making story full of urgency. they didn't go all out and it's just ended up confusing to read the vibe you know.
next, even after the spoiler I still can't really forgive the third prince, or it's not him I cant forgive, it's the generic misunderstanding situation (he was another cold male lead that was actually only cold because he wanted to protect her yada yada, please this is so overdone and not attractive at all). the third prince in beach memory was so lovely tho.
and the villain was downright creepy. I would prefer a story where MC wasn't the center of the world, or at least don't make it only about romance.
maan i am yapping so much because i just feel sad with the lost potential. the art is good and i actually appreciate that the premises and the world building aren't bad. the thing about reincarnated lover is always a good potential it can be used in many different way, this one just wasn't it
