I think he was probably telling the truth when he mentioned he went into his major because of that book he read, which is why they made such a big deal of him noticing it on the shelf in the restaurant while Giju was working. He probably put 2+2 together and realized she was the author, hence the stalker-y pics.
It's still creepy that he approached her because of it, but I assume he was trying to research her to confirm it and the whole process somehow turned into him liking(?) her.

I'm calling it now, but if my guess is correct then at some point he'll be all doey-eyed at the FL, saying, "I only approached you because I loved your book and wanted to know more about you!" and they'll treat it like it's all ~Sha La La~ Romance!! instead of the creepy stalker behavior it actually is.
Tbh i think for me, Probably a reason why black haired guy has 0.5 stars because he's being a little bit freaky and creepy when he gets in love with someone, yk being a little bit obsessed with someone
i think it was more that he just said yes to anyone that confessed to him even tho he didn’t like them back so it got very one sided for the girls he was dating !! im not so sure if any of the reviews were of anyone that he actually liked? but that would also make sense <3
