Idk how to feel

I’m going to give a complete honest review and say that I actually didn’t like the story. The story was confusing and the romance between the two main characters didn’t feel real but also the bottom didn’t feel like a good character compared to kei, kei was a fantastic written character about what a child psych can look like with abuse from a young age but what he did to the other main character wasn’t addressed and just thrown away like it didn’t happen and that really irked me. Kei raped him more than once and at one point made the guys boyfriend listen to them and then randomly they fall in love? We go from the ML being traumatized to him being smitten in like two chapters :( It made zero sense to me bc we got kei who is a complex and traumatized character but it felt more like him doing that to the ML was excused rather then explained, it was never addressed and then all of a sudden a weird cult come back and that confused me as well and then the main character blaming himself for kei leaving bc he wanted to hide his sexuality for safety reasons? Like no bro that isn’t selfish of you to do and it just seemed like he went from a fleshed out character to the stereotypical yaoi attached to abuser character. like we went from a good start to just watered down characters and plots which disappointed me tbh. Kei as a character was greatly written and his complexity was great as well just everything else was dissatisfying

The reason why it's used as a plot, it's because yaoi itself is homophobic and misogynistic, and rape on men isn't considered rape

We don’t talk about how much homophobia, misogyny, racism, and transphobia is common in yoais

Yep :/ though racism and colorism are common in almost all mangas and webtoons. You can see how much they worship eurocentric features
