From what I remember Ra doesn't believe in interrupting the flow or whatever her motto was and Osiris was merely banished to the underworld, he isn't dead I think? Excuse me if I made mistakes, the plot is very long and I have read it a lot while ago
Osiris couldn't die but he took that mpreg magic sand to follow Seth into underworld. Which then resulted in him being locked in duat. So he's theoretically considered dead but since he's the god of life, he can't die. It's confusing but that's what i understand
