And for fck sake...they skip a whole four years of there lives, children that are neglected it would have showed, at least the Ray wouldn't allow them play with him on all the occasions we seen them. Have you even notice Ray's expression when he sees his children. He looks like a big mummy.
Four years of Ray being a parent to them still isn't enough, children at that age need to be with their parents at all times. They're in their developmental age.
In a modern pov, Ray is basically a mom who leaves his children to nannies because he focuses more on his work than his kids.
Just because they don't show it in the story doesn't mean he's not being neglectful to the twins.
He's a neglectful parent and that's one of his flaws, and him having a flaw isn't a bad thing either because it adds more into his character. He makes mistakes too, he's not perfect, and that's okay. (◡ ω ◡)
Also I think it's a plot hole because the author moved to fast after his pregnancy arc.
I get it's a porn without plot typa story but they could have expanded on his relationship with the twins for like one or two chapters instead of making the readers assume things....... imo they're just cannon fodder atp which is sad bc I was tuned in to the story cuz a huge part of the story's beginning was his want to become a parent.
Pregnant? Heck yeah...... while he practically ignores his twins....sure, sure, sure. ಠ‿ಠ
