
Exactly. He acts so smug about it. He thinks he deserves credit for confessing when this should be considered the bare minimum, that it should even out the lying anyway and if MC stays mad about it, he is the one being unreasonable.
Also the way this is written makes me think that this is exactly how it will play out. Meaning MC will give in and come to the realization that he is the one who was wrong and has to change.

Rly liked the premise of the story and also the fact that he confessed before... But after that it went downhill.

Seems kinda self adsorbed that he only cares about getting his feelings across to a literal guy that dislikes him for very obvious reasons.
Im so dissapointed i like this story soo much at the beggining.
Its not about the lie (tho i think there's no way such a difference in values and work ethic would work in real life) but its the way ML is not even sorry, he acts like its a minor inconvenience and MC just has to get over it.
And of course we a doormat that "gets mad" but still goes along with everything ML wants. Im so tired.
