Do they end up having a child? How much longer does this angst go on between them, they both love each other, when will they just spit it out?

They end up having a girl that looks just like Lucia’s mother, they call her Evangeline. They don’t have too much angst left, just like Lucia did the proposing she will also do the confessing coz Hugo’s a coward like that but they will be all sappy and all over each other Yipee, and they also have a beautiful heart to heart about each others painful experiences

In the first timeline where Lucia couldn’t remember herself growing old, turns out Hugo and her met when they were much older and get married and grow old together in the end in a rural cottage, so either timeline they found a way to be together

I remember I cried here cuz of my baby Damien...

It was probably coz it was the part of my cycle where everything makes me wanna cry but also just thinking about all the shit things that happened to them both and yet they still got to grow old together in the end just made me bawl

In the original timeline Damien dies at like 18 I think… he leads a life not knowing ambition or love from anyone and after he graduates (still hasn’t seen his “dad” Hugo once since he was first enrolled in boarding school) he goes to the barbarian boarder as a knight to help fight them and he whitenesses a barbarian father and daughter who died trying to protect one another, he feels sick inside and storms off on his horse alone into the forest (followed by two guards soon after) and they are ambushed and killed in the forest, I don’t think Damien even put up a fight… it had me sobbing as well highly recommend the novel

Nope! He leads a life full of love and happiness and (SPOILERS) falls in love with a girl that cross dresses as a boy at his academy… one with blonde hair and green eyes, but they only hint to it there’s no real fleshed out story

Lucia’s mother is the daughter of the fallen count (actually maybe he’s a Baron but I’m pretty sure count) Baden, a house that has a long deep history with the kingdom once a family of knights, but now is on the cusp of ruin after lots of financial blunders by the previous and current heads, pretty much they got pretty unluckily no matter how hard they tried, they get completely destroyed in the first timeline after Lucia’s uncle gets tied into treason with the count of Matin. In this timeline Lucia meets with her grandfather (he passed in the first timeline so she had never met him) Hugo helps the family from behind the shadows

Boyyyy me too I binge reread the novel every 2 years, today I finished binge reading it for the third time, like this IS MY COMFORT NOVELLL
