For people talking about the ending, I think it fits the theme great, especially seeing the character growth and secure trust in their love regardless of gender. Like the gender swap was treated as a mild annoyance rather than something that brought significant stress to Shion. Big show of character growth and security in gender identity

Exactly!! I dont know why people dont see it this way, this is exactly how i took it. It shows how they really just love eachother no matter what gender he is physically, bc even rui said himself, that he loved him before this even happened. He truly just LOVES him for him
