I’m just confused because he died and ended up in like the netherworld where he made a contract with a dude that took him to another scenario? Or are they not in a scenario really( that part I didn’t get). And tbh where is he really, like is it a different dimension?

I’m also super confused as to what the end goal is. I guess because the updated are once a week I’ve started to forget things lol.

okay so, there's multiple universes/worlds which all have their own ongoing scenarios. the dude he made a contract with basically controls the space outside scenarios. if you get thrown out of a scenario you die. but since dokja is now a constellation and has the fourth wall, he won't die.

the issue is, he can't directly re-enter the scenario in Seoul. so temporarily he is thrown to another dimension which has an ongoing scenario, so he can win there and find a way back to his friends. as for the not-a-part-of-scenarios part, that's because he wasn't using his own name in this scenario. he's just junghyeok's so technically, he isn't a part of the scenario because the stories you earn from a scenario make you a part of it. there's a lot of plot to come but this is it I think. is there anything else you are confused about?

One last question, so he got the update to the novel but I’m also confused as to what that adds to the story because it seemed to me like he was reading about himself (right?) as in things that are also going to happen in the future?

And who is the angry demon child? Is she someone he is trying to partner with in order to wing

okay so, we are not sure what will happen to this timeline if junghyeok decides to die. he says he asked his sponsor and that the timeline would survive but we are not a 100% sure so dokja doesn't want to risk it. and yes he reading about himself being added to the novel, meaning he had become a character in the novel, but he had failed because junghyeok regressed.
the angry demon child is the demon Asmodeus, demon of wrath and lust. there's 72 demon kings, and he's rank 32. the girl is not his actual body. Remember dokja's boss? that annoying dude who gets a tentacle shoved in his mouth and kills this grim reaper looking monster in the earlier chapters? she's his daughter.
dokha isn't trying to team up with Asmodeus at all. he only takes over junghyeok's body cuz he reads in the revised version that "junghyeok shouldn't have gone up against Asmodeus in the 3rd round." implying that's what made him regress. and dokja doesn't want him to regress so he's just trying to protect junghyeok and that's why he takes over junghyeok's body and talks to Asmodeus. the demon wants to partner with dokja though, cuz he's interesting to the demon king.

Someone would have the answer, if you were super curious, I'd suggest reading the novel. This has been super faithful to the novel, which I am so glad for. Going back to your one question about the end goal, they wish to reach the end of the scenarios. Dokja wants to see the end of the never ending quests and complete what Junghyeok had failed to end thousands of times in his ever regressing journey that Dokja had read before it became all-inclusive in his life.

Honestly, it's a fantastic story with so many themes thrown in that would normally be chaotic, but the couple wrote it out so well that everything fits. I'm just hoping the webtoon can give the answer to everyone's question that read the novel to the end.
