I think in the novel it's mostly passed off as- he's the lord of temptation/ seduction, that's why he flirts with her. The constellations are shown to care for her but we don't get anything else :')
Is the demon king/lord, is really a part of potential MLs? Cuz him wanting for Renee to summoned him is very giving away that he may have feelings for her although Renee just see him as Gramps LOL
