Theo would probably view things negatively if Lucas just let him rest instead of having seggs with him. Or if Lucas made him bathe first before being intimate with him.
It's gross but we can't fault Lucas for sleeping with him because he wanted to prove to Theo that he isn't dirty. And even if he literally is, Lucas loves him anyway, would accept him and make love to him anyway.
