Idk ive read so much stories like this that ogMC probably does own that body and he was like cursed to swap bodies with the commoner and aftr his death he got his original noble body back. Lol probably just my wishful thinking but that would honestly make sense since he's a "genius"

I'm somewhat disappointed that the original body wasn't given a redemption arc but had someone else to posses his body to change things. It wasn't the original body's entire fault that he became this way.. like, they did say he was a genius before all the sabotage the butler did. Like, I'm sad. But I'm also okay with it. I like his OPness and the goofy arrogance lol. It's funny. The art really executed that well.
