I feel like every author who write about BDSM actually never practiced it and didn't even try to do some research about it. Like, expect in some extreme case, two partner will never use BDSM as a way to talk about things that happens outside of their sexual relationship. It shouldn't be used to make one of the two people to talk about personal matter of things not related to sex at all. Do author know that communication can exist without sex involved ?

Frrrr I see in too many bdsm stories where the author makes the seme use bdsm to control the uke life outside of sex not realizing that bdsm isn't about controlling your partner it's about having fun with your partner it's supposed to be enjoyable for the both of you and I think that's what a lot of authors don't understand

That's not entirely true. There are master and sub relationships where the master has complete control of their sub in the bedroom and outside of it. It just depends on the contract that they have, and the author here is showing that because this is not a dom/sub but master/sub. I do agree though that this is slipping into sketchy territory.

Yea but irl dom and sub too is supposed to be enjoyable for both of them, but a lot of the time the author uses it to make the seme (and even bdsm itself) look bad by the isolating the uke and having them suffer. the only examples that comes to my mind is: "flip turn" (which was also annoying because they didn't have a safe word wtf??) and "crucial point".

yeah but irl 24/7 TPE is usually not a casual thing, most couples doing TPE aren't getting into it until they know each other **extremely** well + have already established a solid dynamic w boundaries and shit like that. also, the TPE couples i know are fully capable of having sex-free conversations about important relationship stuff

don't get me wrong i love this story but... realistic, it ain't
