This ain't even that too much of an angst but I'm literally sobbing at this at 1 am.. Cus wdym that madman grumpy scientist had a back story like that... Like the way my heart was hurting when it was revealed he had a family and now that theyre gone, he's hesitant to let fmc become his own cus of the pain he had dealt with when loving and losing his family like lawddd I cannot take it goodbye
