I mean you cant really prevent stalking 100% of course through legal means but that also isnt always efficient unfortunately
that's not what i meant. i meant in how he deals with ppl, he just "puts up" with uncomfortable behavior knowing damn well it's gonna escalate and then acts like a damsel in distress bc otherwise there would be no plot. but we all know that ppl who are used to being objectified, sexually harassed and stalked at least have some personal protocols and threat management strategies bc of how used to it they are,ge acts like it's the first time it's happening to him
he's traumatized, and you cannot expect traumatized victims who have received no support from others to magically react correctly in these situations. victims are often retraumatized bc their bodies and brain chemistry have literally changed from the inciting incident, causing them to freeze when they should be fighting. being stalked is one thing, and nearly being gang raped is another. you literally cannot fault the mc for that.
