Yea the novel gives more detail. I'm trying to follow along with the manhwa.
When the father questioned what crime they commited. He asked was that his son. Which the husband replied yes. && the king responded that's your crime having him as a son is the collective sin. The father asked his son what did he do but the son basically told him it doesn't matter now just tell them what they wanted to know so they can die peacefully. I however believe it was mixture of the father & son fault. The husband actually gives an inner monologue questioning his decisions and their life & his choices etc. It was written pretty well you can sense the regret,pain,confusion and then finally the acceptance on their situation. Also the Regas watch Karas killed them with a cold detached empty look no remorse no regret which in turn made him feel a mix of emotions it was a sad scene. It felt like a turning point in the plot.The Regas recognizing that war could've possible made the king cold and heartless and now he feels lost,scared,anxious,confusedbif he discovers that to be true. Which we all know is the true.
Really?? Wow now that’s interesting. The manhwa focuses more on the hilariousness of their journeys, which is a good thing cos it balances the serious topics in the story. But also detaches the complexity and depth of the main characters, esp karas, for us to fully understand him and accept him for abel. altho the situation, altho rather unfortunate, is still understandable since its their karma. Its just sad. Cant wait for the next chapter
In the novel he told them if they didn't reveal the information he was going to gouge out their eyes and cut off their hands and leave them in the basement so the rats could feast on them. Something he has done before. && to relieve her daughters of that pain the wife told the information she knew. Sadly they all still died but the baby survived thanks to the Regas and was hid in the horses stable where someone found him.
