Okay so basically when ML returns they ended up finding out they imprinted on each other. And MC is like shit imma die and asks to quickly remove it and it can only be done in two ways by MC imprinting with another same level or higher level esper. Or one of them dying and MC is like uh oh ML is gonna kill me fr gotta find another esper.

Anyways, MC and ML are moving out of the house that they were co-living in. MC remembers that before MLs memories returned he left him food and a note that basically said how much ML loved him. MC really cares abt the note bc it's the last piece he has left. ML is behind him and takes the note to read it and after that throws it out. MC is like damn he sucks and gets mad and as they are about to leave MC gets emotional bc he feels that ML disregard the past and throws a bit of a tantrum and yells at ML telling him that how dare he not only forget but complete disregard his feelings and throw away the note. Here's the kicker ML is just a clueless idiot. After seeing MC breakdown he quickly apologizes bc he genuinely didn't think MC valued it and was embarrassed by what he wrote. He helped MC put on his shoes and took care of him and took him to eat bc MC is a big foodie. Like ML is cold bc of his trauma but he in no way intentionally hurts MCs feelings.

Also, before the note thing MC told ML about finding another esper so that ML doesn't find out abt the dying part. And ML was just like fine. Anyways, later it is revealed that ML doesn't actually want MC to find another esper and does everything in his power to keep them from meeting while trying to keep his pokerface. Plus the real reason why he wanted to remove the imprint is bc he feels it will become a burden to MC not to himself. And when he finds out that MC thought ML would kill him to release the imprint, ML is extremely hurt and says that he would rather die to give MC an imprint free life.

Some cute things I love about ML is how during the first chapters when his memories return MC describes him as cold and often frozen and hateful. But as MC learns more about ML he realizes that it's just bc ML is embarrassed and doesn't know how to act bc of his trauma. And slowly ML starts becoming like he was when he lost his memories, he starts smiling more and laughing more.

It turns out that lost memories ML kept a folder of MC and everything that was happening so that he could remember it when his memories returned. And ML used that to take care of MC by taking him to MCs favorite food places and so on. Also lost memories ML decorated his house like a couples house it was super cheesy. And the thing was that ML never took it down bc he low-key loved the lovebird vibe. ML is genuinely so down bad but he just hides it with his pokerface. He even gets jealous of his old self. I love how you can tell he love MC based on his actions not just his words.
