I agree I also dont understand why taehyuk decided to cut ties with him in their current timeline when hes never harmed him?
No fr!! Hyun already suffered so much. He retained all his memories in each life time until he was finally reborn once again as Taehyuk's brother. He finally got to see his little brother again and kept his distance and never hindered in his life decisions. Idk why Taehyuk cut off his relationship in this life. If Hyun hadn't told him that he has his memories, Taehyuk wouldn't have even known. Yeah Hyun was crazy in the past but he has learnt his lesson and grown up to be a better person. He wasn't seeking vengeance like Eunuch Hwang was.

I love this story so much but I feel SOOO bad for the brother! Like yes he was obsessive and crazy for what he did and definitely needs to be beaten for that but also imagine what his life was truly like based off the small glimpse we got of it. He was beaten mercilessly by his own MOTHER for any slight and then gaslit into believing she beat him for his own good. And whilst all that was happening he was getting tormented by his other siblings and peers. Being beaten and bullied all the time that he latched on to his little brother that genuinely cared for him. THEN, as he got older he learns that his family is poisoning their kingdom and land, his people suffering under their rule and had to make the traumatizing call of wiping them out. That man was BROKEN and the safe place he once had with taehyuk no longer existed cuz he feared him and was repulsed by the Decisions he had to make to save his people. Taehyuk never understood the burden his brother carried because he was lucky to be born as the baby of the family with little responsibilities. He wouldn't understand why the brother clinged to him when he was pulling away until it became unhealthy. Granted, taehyuk isn't responsible for his brother mental stability however I wonder how he would've turned out if taehyuk tried to hear him out and shared his burden. Older siblings are forced to carry burdens that are unfathomable to Younger siblings and I can only imagine how alone he felt with the demons he was forced to create. I wish he had a better life going forth because he suffered in silence for far too long and deserve some peace now.
