Gonna start off by saying it ain't that deep, but here are my honest feelings on this story anyway lol

Idk man the king is an asshole but he's also kinda the only person I find interesting in this story. Maybe Cyrus as well, though not as much. I think it's basically because these two are the only ones with high-ish stake goals. Though maybe a shoutout to Olivia's dad as well, given how he gives his daughter agency even though he really doesn't like what's going on.
Basically, the king knows his eldest son is a trash fire at the moment and wants to see him rise from the ashes and become a person capable of ruling. Basically I like his character being a mix of a father's love and the slyness of a ruler, with a heap of being misguided seasoning his personality.
But the others - Olivia, Alan and Tiana - all seem pretty shallowly written to me. What does Olivia want besides access to the Royal Library? And what's her motivation behind obeying when Alan told her to pretend to be stupid? Girl seems very detached/unaffected for someone who's been treated so poorly, although I guess that could make sense since she states very early on that she has no choice in marrying into the royal family. But the excution doesn't convince me.
Alan's driving force is clearly insecurity and he has a need to put others down to elevate himself. But I'd like to see why he is that way. As of the moment he's just kinda a shallow cartoon asshole.
And Tiana.... hasn't really been given a reason for being the way she is yet. She's just a shallow, spoiled brat.

Anyway, Olivia doesn't have any deep social desires it seems and I hope this story will include her realising something she really wants... that isn't being with Cyrus. And speaking of Cyrus, I'd like to see him form more solid attachments to Olivia than just having an obsession with a childhood crush.
Meanwhile Alan and Tiana are seemingly merely there for the satisfaction of the readers seeing them fall eventually. Which is ok I guess, just not my taste.

But yeah, like I said... it doesn't have to be that deep. These are just some things I'd wish for to help with the immersion of the story.

i can to here for the interesting title and then decided to stay because of the king ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
people say he's dump, but i really think he's smart and his final goal? the luxury and peace of his kingdom
he knows the first prince won't do well as a king, he had the very talented FL by his side and didn't know her value for the kingdom, while the king does understand how fitting she is to be the queen
he's not just giving her work, he's trying to prove her value
i really like him! ( and somehow he reminds me of suo from wind breaker hhh, how? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭, it just felt like it)
