I totally recommend it!! tho some of the character designs are different their key features are still the same so you'll get used to it ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ. And the story is so much more in-depth and explains alot that you won't won't get by just watching the anime, as the anime skips some parts to make it fit 12 episodes. SO I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!! Give it a try and I'm sure you'll love it too ヾ(☆▽☆).
I Finally caught uuup. re-reading this makes me think how much the anime skipped the side character and world building is kinda non existent and its only focused on Tanya. I really hate how they don't focus more on zetour and rerugen (can't remember spelling) their interaction with Tanya is very interesting and gives more of the characters point of view, especially after they won the war. Really like the chapter where Tanya went to the church and builds her self up, she's more mature now. IF ONLY IT WAS A 24 EPISODE ANIME!!! WHY TWELVE IT'S NOT ENOOOUGHHHH!!!. And the fact they put Grantz on the original battalion and not a new addition to the battalion weakens his character a bit, like he went through all that training just to throw up at arene?? the anime makes him look weak. ALSO The ova is about the southern campaign food shortage but the movie is about the war on russy, I pray to god S2 is about the Southern campaign it's quite interesting imo, gives more perspective on the war.. AND ALSO DIDN'T WE GET A GLIMPSE OF GROWN UP BUFF TANYA TALKING TO SHUGEL WHO IS THIS SILVER HAIRED MYSTERY LADY?? Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
