It's just similar to tripping yourself to get someone's or your crush's attention though, not that of a big deal.

im talking abt how obsession & toxicity is presented as acceptable forms of love, mentioned BL since we’re reading a BL story and BLs are pretty notorious for stuff like that (at least as a generalization) hence BL logic
if we go one step further, one can even argue he did such a bad job on purpose for luke’s attention. i don’t necessarily believe it but could be true. honestly, i wouldn’t be surprised. he hasn’t had anyone he cared that deeply about in years, probably hard to care for someone in moderation when he’s not used to caring.

Author herself confirmed on Twitter that he’s really bad at it. Author said she just wanted to show readers about how Andrew grew up not learning some basic life aspects and he really don’t know how to hammer nails till Luke shows him.

Well it’s possible to get injured when his focus is on completely something else. Man eyes were glued to Luke the whole time.
The author said that he's just clumsy with tools and maybe the friend just misinterpreted what happened.. It's kinda funny tho, if you think about it..
im more concerned about people’s reaction than what andrew presumably did in this chapter. “i like my men a little jealous and possessive” is an insane reaction to seeing someone harm themselves (presumably, we dont know yet) to get someone’s attention. idk if u guys are teens or BL logic has fried ur brains or smth.
