The only thing I could think of the entire time: The very first suspect in every. Single. Murder case. Is ALWAYS the significant other. He dated these people for long enough for them to "love him". So to where he would be known as their boyfriend, been in their house, met their friends maybe?
You're telling me either 1. They didn't investigate the victim's partner or 2. Somehow he had alibis and absolutely no evidence pointed toward him?
