What happens next is that it’s confirmed the mother never slept with anyone else, and later on we find out the reason why her form is a rabbit is cause Chloe is the child of destiny, she can actually just turn into other animals depending on what she currently needs. Which is why she continually turned into a rabbit (needing to escape the hawk by jumping in a rabbit home or jumping through a small hole) they find this out when she turns into an orca when trying to save Zion from merfolk, her true form is a lion
