To be fair, the mouse side story was more tolerable and Im glad the mouse and the human couple got a great ending but jeeeeeeez...... Again, having lived in a lie for some time ???? Not knowing you're doing things with ???? Smn you dont know ?? Let alone a diff entity and it just creeps into your agency and the boundaries of consent and truth ?????? WHEW this author should make more thriller-based works, I bet they'd be loved frfr
Im just here for the tentacles and quick brainrot fucking but damn that tentacled beginning was rough. Nobody warned me this was gonna be sum levels of psychological and existential horror cuz ion know bout yall but all Im seeing is an invasive alien tryna act like they the shit when he's not even good at imitating his host or acting human lmaoooo ( ̄∇ ̄") anyways at least i powered thru to the end. My reward? Prolly dreaming of tentacle aliens and what it means to be sharing parts of yourself with an alter ego like the ship of Theseus which ofc wouldnt be the fully correct philosophical thought experiment congruent to this story but is a good start to digest what I just read. Overall, a meh read ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
