Realistically speaking no one would help other if it had been in our world

While I do agree that most people would probably just try to save themselves since fear brings out the worst in us, I still believe there are people who’d try to help. I know I would, especially in the story’s case where people can actually have powers. Maybe not everyone, but definitely someone. Just because most wouldn’t doesn’t mean no one will.
If this were our world, that situation wouldn’t even exist because it’s something that would make sense only to the story’s universe haha

guys, it’s a literal kid . i would understand if it’s some older people who did some shady things, but the one that was left was a kid. someone who hasn’t lived long enough yet.. if i was in that situation i’d try and go back too. i’d rather die trying to save someone than live with the guilt of abandoning one
