Very interesting but its likely to be a translation issue. You usually see pronouns get mixed up especially when it is partially machine translated

Omg first chapter did that man say husband bc legit my first time seeing a side character being in a homosexual relationship especially with historical settings since it’s so rare but I really love the art style and brushes author use! Though the misunderstood ml and the outstanding and determined to stay single fl is such a slow burn to read with those types of tropes but I’ll read it bc fl has all my attention
